Stefanos is the rising hope of the persecuted.  Our main aim is to serve persecuted Christians in Nigeria and around the world.

We are dedicated to making the voice of the persecuted church heard and giving practical care and support in the most desperate situations.

We are inspired by the scripture, ‘Remember those in prison as if you yourself were their fellow prisoners, and those who are ill-treated as if you yourself were suffering’  Hebrews 13:3

In collaboration with Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), we work in partnership with Release International UK and Voice of the Martyrs USA.  These are members of International Christian Assembly, founded by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand.  We also work with Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), Wycliffe Africa, Rafiki Children Centre and other sister organisations.

Stefanos Foundation was birthed through the activities of Release International in Nigeria in 2001.  Release International is a UK organisation founded by Richard Wurmbrand with the aim of bringing the suffering of the persecuted church to the attention of the world.

We are against violence in any form.  We are against marginalisation of or discrimination against people because of their faith.  We are against religious cleansing of any kind, killing or harming converts, abduction for forcible conversion, corruption and distortion of the truth, unfair trials and wrongful imprisonment.

We espouse a policy of non-retaliation towards aggressors, believing this to be the way of Christ.
